Engr. Usman Mohammed Bakundi had a long and successful career at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) as a civil engineer. He worked at various divisions and companies within NNPC, including Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company (WRPC), Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG), National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS), and National Engineering and Technical Company (NETCO). He retired as a General Manager and Executive Director of Operations.
During his time at NAPIMS, he served as a Project Engineer on significant projects like the Nigerian LNG Project(NLNG), Bonny Export Terminal Integrated Project(BTIP), and the Ofon 2 Field Development Project(OFON 2). He also led the Project Management Team for the Egina Field Development Project. He has over 32 years of experience in managing engineering, human, and financial resources to deliver cost-effective projects in the Nigerian oil and gas industry. He retired from NETCO as Exective Director Operations.
His is married with children.
